Cherry Limeade

Super easy, and really tasty. Could be spiked with vodka for grownups. Plan to drink this right after making it, though; it doesn’t keep well.

2-liter bottle lemon-lime soda
1 cup fresh squeezed lime juice (or an 8-oz bottle of lime juice will work too)
3/4 – 1 cup sugar
1 10-ounce jar maraschino cherries, with juice
Thin lime slices

Chill all ingredients before mixing, so that this can be ready to serve quickly after mixing it up.

When cold, combine the lemon-lime soda, lime juice, sugar, cherries with their juice and lime slices in a large pitcher and stir. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Serve with a ladle, getting cherries and limes in each serving.

Okay, BUT. . . how does it rate against Sonic? šŸ™‚ I guess beggars can’t be choosy. . . as all my area Sonics shut down. šŸ˜¦ I am in serious withdrawal. I even went to O’Charley’s after church last week and got one to go because I knew they had them!

I would LOVE this… but I still haven’t caved in & had soda in a long, long time.

We keep the ingredients separate and mix it to taste individually . . . it keeps it from going bad, too.
