Boston Cream Pie

I saw this recipe on We are THAT Family last week and knew I had to make it! It was simple and really tasty.

Boston Cream Pie
1 round yellow cake layer (8 or 9 inches), cut into 2 layers (I baked the extra cake batter into 8 cupcakes)
1 cup milk
1 pkg Jello-Vanilla Instant Pudding & Pie filling (the smaller box)
1 1/2 cups Cool Whip (thawed)
1 square Baker’s chocolate (I accidentally used semi-sweet instead of unsweetened, and it turned out fine)
1 Tbl butter
2 Tbl milk
3/4 cup powdered sugar

Beat together 1 cup milk, pudding and Cool Whip and spread on bottom layer. Top with second cake layer.

In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate and butter, and add powdered sugar and 2 Tbl milk.

Top cake with chocolate frosting mixture and refrigerate. Enjoy!
